Business Impact Report

Pull clicks from Google, visits from AI answers, leads and calls to action into your own dashboard every night.

What the Report Holds

The same numbers as the Business Impact page in Studio, from the same code: what organic search and AI engines sent to the site and what those visitors did, for a window and the window before it. API access is included with the Business plan.

1. See Which Domains the Key Reads

bash
curl https:"code-comment">//studio.aeocontent.ai/api/v1/domains \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $AEO_API_KEY"

2. Fetch the Last 28 Days

report.mjs
const API = class="code-string">"https:class="code-commentclass="code-string">">//studio.aeocontent.ai/api/v1";
const headers = { Authorization: class="code-string">`Bearer ${process.env.AEO_API_KEY}` };

const res = await fetch(class="code-string">`${API}/reports/business-impact?domain=example.com&days=28`, { headers });
if (res.status === 429) {
  class=class="code-string">"code-comment">// Over a limit: wait the seconds Retry-After gives, then try again.
  const wait = Number(res.headers.get(class="code-string">"Retry-After") ?? 60);
  console.log(class="code-string">`Rate limited, retry in ${wait} s`);
} else {
  const { data } = await res.json();
  console.log(class="code-string">"Clicks from Google", data.site.search_clicks.total, data.site.search_clicks.change_pct);
  console.log(class="code-string">"Visits from AI answers", data.site.ai_arrivals.total);
  console.log(class="code-string">"Organic leads (sample)", data.totals.organic_leads);
}

3. Or Take the Daily Series as CSV

bash
curl "https:">//studio.aeocontent.ai/api/v1/reports/business-impact?domain=example.com&days=28&format=csv" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $AEO_API_KEY" -o daily.csv

Reading the Numbers

  • site: counts every visitor (Search Console, the edge, the first party beacon). Use these for trends.
  • totals: Google Analytics, a consent sample. Use it for shares and splits, not absolute traffic.
  • change_pct: only when the source covers both windows; otherwise null.
null means not measured for this window, never zero. Never sum numbers across sources: they are independent measurements of different things.
